It all looks and sounds like paradise… I’ve never been to a yoga retreat in my life and always wanted to. To do it in a place such as this would be a dream come true!

Yoga and meditation is usually offered daily (for example from 7am-9am), pranayama, chanting, relaxation and pilates and various activities and other rituals throughout the day, of course this all varies based on which retreat you choose, so make sure that you find one with a good balance of activities that interest you.

The place that you choose for yoga should be very peaceful so that you don’t feel any disturbance or commotions. For this, you can also choose holiday destinations like islands or hill stations. Choosing islands for yoga retreats is a wise call as they will offer you a blissful environment where you can do everything you want without any outer world tensions.

I love Costa Rica but never thought about a Yoga retreat there. My lady and I are planning to go back and surf, zip line (down a waterfall? yes!), and now maybe hit up one of these!

This yoga retreat was nice because they did a great job at teaching a class fit for many different levels.

What an experience you seem to have had. I’d love to try yoga some more, but I have always felt a retreat is for the experienced ones – on the other hand I think it’s the perfect way to really get the hang of it. It’s sort of a high threshold sport, that yoga thing :)

I found your blog through google and I look forward to following your adventures, and read up on the previous ones!
